In the recent U.S.A, 2024 World in Flame Convention, we unfortunately had only 10 players. However, we were fortunate enough to have a traveler from Denmark, Carsten Jensten. Mr. Jensen won this year's CON with ease, playing the USSR. Second place went to John Reynen on the same table. Third place was a tie with Thomas Fancher, on Mr. Jensen's table, and Bill Coburn on the other table. Both games ended on the 1944 July/August turn.

We are looking forward to next year's World in Flame Convention and, hopefully, a larger turnout. At this time, I am looking for someone to take over the U.S.A. World in Flame CON in 2026. 2025 will be my last year organizing the convention. Anyone interested, please feel free to reach out to me.

Hi All,

I am delighted to announce that the 2024 Americas World in Flames CON will be held at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott, 8058 Orchard Loop, Elk Grove, CA 95624.

The convention will start on Friday, August 2, 2024, and the last day of play will be Saturday, August 10, 2023. We will be able to start each morning at 9:00 am and play until late (12:00 am) if you like. The entry fee is $200. Due to the size of the facility, we will be limited to only 4 games (24 players max) so please book early.

The room rate with the Fairfield Inn is $139.00 single room per night and $139.00 for a double (not including taxes). Cutoff for these rates is July 1, 2023. After this date the group rate will not be available. This rate starts July 27, 2023 for those who arrive early. Attached is the booking link. We are fortunate to have the CON at the same hotel as the sleeping rooms.

The rooms have Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, a refrigerator, microwave and free breakfast. I found the rooms to be very nice.
